Polyvinyl chloride or PVC is a thermoplastic polymer. It is characterised for being ductile and resistant. It has dimensional stability and environmental resistance. It is recyclable through various methods.
It has excellent resistance to abrasion and various chemical agents and has great mechanical and impact resistance.
It is a highly resistant material, does not burn easily or by itself and stops burning once the heat source has been removed. It is used effectively to insulate and protect electrical cables in the home, offices and in industry, given that it is a good electrical insulator.
Polyvinyl chloride or PVC can also be supplied in 5mm to 250mm bars or in cylinders of various diameters.
